His 240th column with the title "Mexiko: Pferdesport und Politik" was published in the edition 50 on 19.12.2018.
Im August machten Pferdesportler aus Mexiko gleich zweimal Schlagzeilen: Beim CHIO Dublin gewannen vier kaum bekannte mexikanische Springreiter die «Aga Khan Trophy», einen der begehrtesten Nationenpreise. Dann ernannte der neugewählte mexikanische Staatspräsident Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador den Geschäftsmann und Olympiareiter Alfonso Romo zu seinem Stabschef.
