The Group for Science and Research (GWF) belonged to the Office of Secretary of State for Education and Research (SER) within the Federal Department of Home Affairs. Today, the GWF is totally integrated in the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER).
The SER is the federal government's specialised agency for national and international matters concerning general and university education, research and space.
Myriam Neuhaus was working as a scientific collaborator with the Secretary of the State Charles Kleiber and it vice-director Beat Vonlanthen at the State Secretariat for Education and Research. She was responsible e.g. for the preparation of the Foundation Science et Cité as well as for the concept of the professional guidance of the scientific attachées. Working for the Guidelines of the Federal funding of education, research and innovation 2000-2003, she organized a platform at the international conference “Frauenförderungsmassnahmen” (Measures to promote women).
